Productivity in Pharma - Background

The Productivity in Pharma Think Tank assembles a small group of invited senior business leaders from the Procurement discipline within the pharmaceutical market dedicated to evolving the function and allowing it to contribute more effectively to the profitability and performance of their organizations.

This membership gathering builds on the work done by the focus group that supported “Beyond Procurement” research project in cooperation with the ISCM in 2011-12. By moving from a working group to a Think Tank, the founders’ vision is to provide an exclusive forum for member organizations to create innovation solutions to common challenges in an environment of exchange between buying organizations, providers and academia.
The next event will kick-off in 2Q2013 with a series of three 1-day workshops and focus on this year’s lead question:
“What are the key challenges and opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, and how can they be addressed by better leveraging the unique capabilities within our supply base”

Productivity in Banking - Background and Objective

The Productivity in Banking Think Tank assembles a small group of invited senior business leaders from the Procurement discipline within the Financial Services industry dedicated to evolving the function and allowing it to contribute more effectively to the profitability and performance of their organizations.
This membership gathering builds on the work done by the focus group that supported “Beyond Procurement” research project in cooperation with the ISCM in 2011-12, and the recently completed “Productivity in Pharma” Think Tank. It is an exclusive forum for member organizations to create innovation solutions to common challenges in an environment of exchange between buying organizations, providers and academia.
The next event will kick-off in October 2013 with a series of three 1-day workshops and focus on this year’s lead question:
“What are the key challenges and opportunities in the banking industry, and how can they be addressed by better leveraging the unique capabilities within our supply base”

Productivity in Telecoms - Background and Objective

The Productivity in Telecoms Think Tank assembles a small group of invited senior business leaders from the Telecom Industry dedicated to further mobilize and leverage knowledge, innovations and solutions from its supply base, and moving “beyond SRM” (the Supplier Relationship Management”) to seek new ways of contributing more effectively to the profitability and performance of their organizations.
This membership gathering builds on the work done by the focus group that supported the research project on “what’s next in Productivity” in cooperation with the ISCM in 2011-12, and the recently launched Productivity think tanks in Pharmaceuticals as well as Banking. Evolving from a working group to a Think Tank provides an exclusive forum for member organizations to create innovation solutions to common challenges in an environment of exchange between Telecom, providers and academia.
The next event will kick-off in 1Q2014 with a series of three 1-day workshops and focus on this year’s lead question:
“What are the key challenges and opportunities in the Telecoms industry, and how can they be addressed by better leveraging the unique capabilities within our supply base”

Productivity in Pharma - Background

The Productivity in Pharma Think Tank assembles a small group of invited senior business leaders from the Pharmaceuticals Industry dedicated to mobilizing their experience and knowledge to create greater value and enhance performance of their organizations. This membership gathering continues on and builds from the first series held in 2013 that focused on an essential topic facing the procurement teams of the Pharmaceutical Industry: how to move “Beyond SRM”.

In its inaugural season in 2013, The Productivity in Pharma Think Tank explored the SRM landscape, testing whether companies in the industry had gained the benefits envisioned from such programs and then set forth a new model for evaluating and managing key relationships through the Trading Relationship Management (TRM) canvas.

Combining with their academic partners, the Technical University of Dortmund and the Fraunhofer Institute, The Beyond Group announces the 2014 Productivity in Pharma Think Tank focusing on
Sourcing Innovation, with this year’s lead question:

“How can Procurement strike the spark of innovation from suppliers, nurture it, and help carry it from idea to realization”
